Cheerleading has been a tradition at LaGrange College for more than 45 years, beginning here around 1956. Although Women's Basketball had been around for a while, Men's Basketball started in the 1950s when the institution changed from an all-female school to a co-ed institution. That addition led to the formation of a squad to be a support group for the teams and crowd enhancement for the basketball games. In 2006, football was added to the LaGrange College athletic program, giving the cheerleaders another team to support. The tradition of student support continues at LaGrange College as the squad cheers on the Women and Men's Basketball teams as well as the football team.
